this is a little neocities page i made to put some tools that i recommend if you're into hoarding music and audio.

--------------

online tools

--------------

last.fm scrobbling compatibility
full audio customization and full visual customization (fonts, colours, visualisers, etc)
downloads in flac or apple lossless m4a also up to 24-bit 192khz
runs off custom apis that connect to tidal, apple music, deezer and other hi-res streaming providers

some albums may not appear on an artist's page but are still discoverable if you dig for a bit or search it up
the apis are also quite buggy, some tracks may not play due to no track source

use -alac for lossless and -atmos for spatial audio, this option can only be used one track at a time. there's also alternative options.
can also export music videos at standard definition
not all tracks are in spatial audio, check using this site
to use this, you must copy a track link from apple music (e.g. https://music.apple.com/gb/song/when-doves-cry/1229320475)

tool to download music directly from qobuz, tidal, soundcloud, deezer, amazon music, and yandex music
very useful for getting tracks avaliable in other countries
however, it's down a lot and downloaders run off user-donated accounts, leaving certain services or regions unavailable.
it also runs into errors often so downloading first try is difficult.

ai-powered vocal remover, track splitter and instrument isolator
750 minutes of audio processing per week on a free account
a 20 minute track length cap for 2-4 stems and MDX23, UVR BVE and RoFormer models

Kraftwerk artist page from Arcod

electronic music discovery tool
type the name or paste a link of the track you want and it gives you a selection of tracks similar to your choice
some selected tracks don't have a preview or are unavailable

popular peer-to-peer (P2P) networking client for forum chats and file sharing. only use this source if you know what you're doing
as with many, if not all, p2p networks, there's always gonna be users sharing some malicious things. soulseek automatically blocks certain file extensions but people can find ways around
be VERY careful when using these sources and double check the file extension before you open a downloaded file off there. NEVER download .exe, .bat, .msi or .jar files off p2p clients.
soulseek runs on windows, macos, gnu/linux, ubuntu and debian.

feature-rich freeware audio player
you can add your own plug-ins and personalize everything to make your client your own
full visual customization (fonts, colours, etc.)
pairs well with tracks downloaded from am.dl and lucida
avaliable on windows, android, mac and ios

--------------

when using these, please be smart.

if you see a popup from any site here, close it and go back where you were.
Soulseek and foobar2000 are downloadable software, only get them and other music or audio software from their official sources.
audio comes in flac, wav, mp3 and m4a files and video comes in mp4s, not exes or batch files.
